Thank you for all your support in the ongoing fight to stop the Phillips 66 oil trains project in San Luis Obispo County. You played a critical role in securing the project’s denial at the SLO Planning Commission last October. Winning the Planning Commission vote was a momentous victory after years of organizing up and down the rail routes across California.
But the fight is not over!
Phillips 66 has appealed the Planning Commission’s denial to the SLO County Board of Supervisors. Those hearings will start Monday, March 13th at 9:00AM and continue every day from 9-5pm that week as needed.
At Noon on March 13, we will also hold a rally outside the hearings to demonstrate that SLO County is ready to move beyond dirty energy and look to a cleaner, healthier, safer future for our community. More details on the rally to come!
Join us -- the Board of Supervisors need to hear loud and clear that toxic, dangerous oil trains have NO place in our communities, near our homes, parks, schools, environmentally sensitive habitat and precious water resources.
