At all of the Planning Commission hearings so far, we've showed up in big numbers and we sent a powerful message to San Luis Obispo County’s Planning Commission: It’s time to protect our health, safety, and climate and reject Phillips 66’s dangerous oil train plan!
Now, it's crucial that we show up again on April 15th to urge the San Luis Obispo Planning Commission to reject Phillips 66 oil train proposal once and for all. Come join concerned citizens, teachers, nurses and elected officials from along the proposed rail route to say no to toxic, dangerous oil trains and yes to a safe and healthy California.
The Planning Commission Public Hearings will take place Friday, April 15th. Doors open at 8 AM and hearings begin at 9 AM.
WHAT TO EXPECT: At the April 15 hearing, there will be no more public comment on the Phillips 66 project. The Planning Commissioners are now in their deliberations, asking questions of County staff, Phillips 66, Union Pacific, and the consultants who wrote the environmental review. The commission could vote on April 15th, and we need to make sure they know the community is still watching!
